Finally got around to mounting the tail feathers from the nice Yamadori (Copper Pheasant) I took a few years back. They are now on our living room wall. The feathers stand 64cm (25 inches) above the plaque base!

Just found your blog, looks like a great life you've made in Japan! "Tanoshisou desu"! Just one note, Yamadori, (Copper Pheasant) is a threatened species. Overhunting is one of the main factors. This is one bird you ought to consider only shooting with a camera! Now Ring-necked, a different story!
